It was a long day; and a good one, in the end. We got everything done, even the extra half-day of work someone figured we could just "squeeze in" while getting ready for a go-live. Of course, one person stayed till 8 and I stayed until 5 to 9, but we got it done. Meaning, I don't have to go to work tomorrow. (I have to pay the bills, stop by the storage facility, do laundry and pack - but I don't have to go to work.)

On the way home, I bought snacks (I was upset that Scott's friends ate my jelly beans because I didn't have enough for the trip - I now have enough for the trip, and Scott, and Scott's friends - the best defense is a good offense, and jelly beans keep pretty well if they don't go through them again, after all). And then? And then it was 9:25, and I was in Wilsonville, and there was a 9:40 showing of Lilo and Stitch.

I went to see it. I had been thinking about it since work (when I looked up the time), but I wasn't sure I wanted to stay up that late or spend the money or go to a movie that might easily disappoint me, since weirdness often does even when others I know love it. But it was almost the right time, and it felt right, so I went. I knew if I didn't go, I wouldn't until after I got back from my trip (who in their right mind goes to a kids' movie matinee showing on the opening weekend? and I have to leave early Sunday so late showings Saturday are bad).

I'm very glad I went. I needed that sort of relaxation, and it was fun, and funny. And if, like me, you have a hangup about suspension of disbelief and needing it to hang around? Don't go unless you're really tired and ready to put up with it.

But man was it fun.

I got home about 11:30, which is why I'm up at this hour, but I think it's time to remedy the "up" part of that.

Hi there!

My name is Teah and I'm a host for Live Journal Meetup. I saw your name was on the list and I'm here to invite you to a brand new that I've created for all it's member to discuss plans for the event and get to know each other better before the meetings commence. I hope you'll decide to take a look and post, because if we don't talk about it how is it going to happen?
