I was going to go talk to the next-door-neighbors, aka elephants, this morning. Because last night, they were making noise almost until I logged out.

I was online until 11:30. Ugh. It was downstairs-noise, fortunately, and the noise-proofing between floors is pretty good (but so's the noise-proofing between units!). Scott didn't seem to have been woken or disturbed by it, though.

They've been thumping lots today, too. So I got myself dressed, my hair brushed, and hauled out my first loads of laundry, figuring to talk to them after I got that started.

Their car was in front of our units, not in a parking space. They're loading it. They're moving out. (I asked: they confirmed.) No more elephants.

I wonder if it's on their initiative, or if they were asked to move? I suspect the latter. Not only are they noisy (the managers commented about their rap music to me, once - though I didn't encounter that, guess either it was while I wasn't in, or an open window made it more obtrusive in the parking lot than our place)...but he was carrying out a covered kitty litter tray (empty, now, of course) and a bag of cat food.

Pets of all sizes and shapes, exception made only for small fish tanks, are forbidden in this complex.

So...I have my suspicions, but I don't know. Maybe they just decided they didn't like the place, or needed to be closer to something.

I don't care. They're going, and I didn't bother complaining about the noise.
