I have fog outside my office window. Fog so thick I can see the building opposite us as a shadow only if I stare for about a second, and knowing where it is. The trees are black silhouettes blotted against it, the cars are points of light and vague dull color-shapes on the road.
It's absolutely glorious. Driving in it wasn't, of course; it took me rather longer than I'd expected or wanted, to get to work. And I met a white car with its headlights off, just as I was about to turn into the parking lot. Fortunately, I saw the shadow-mark of its windshield and bumpers as it came toward me, and didn't turn in front of it, but...geez, buddy, use your headlights!
But from here, safe in my office? It's gorgeous.
I've rearranged my workspace so I can face either computer straight on comfortably (I've always been at a slight angle to the laptop, and my solution was to turn it at a slight angle, but worked, but annoyed the orderly part of my mind). Still getting used to it, but I think I like it.
