What size shoe do you wear? 9.
How many pairs of shoes do you own? I'm not sure; I'm a packrat. I think 5 or so that I really use, probably 8 or so counting ones I just haven't thrown out yet. I wear the same pair to work every day, though. Heh.
What type of shoe do you prefer (boots, sneakers, pumps, etc.)? Favor sneakers, accept flats. Heels are not okay and neither is anything that irritates or pokes my ankles. (So-called supportive shoes that go halfway up the ankle cause me more grief than no support at all.)
Describe your favorite pair of shoes. Why are they your favorite? Mmmm. Recently, this would have been my work shoes. It is now, however, my pair of denim-and-unnatural-substances sneakers. They've got a nice thick cushioned sole, and arch support designed to break my foot (shallow arches). I countered that with heel-and-toe gel pads, and walking in them is heaven.
(The work shoes are plain black lace-up not-quite-sneakers - with metal shanks in the bottom for support; just ask airport security. Sigh.)
What's the most you've spent on one pair of shoes? My parents could probably answer this better. Lately I buy everything at the discount shoe place; they're just as comfortable, and if they don't last as long, net cost per time is still lower. I think I've spent as much as $25 there, but I'm sure I spent more on shoes before that, it's just been years now. :)
