I'm glad I got up this morning.

Despite the coughing fit that followed my sitting upright. I got to see an absolutely gorgeous sunrise (still going on). It started out as a brilliant flush of bright orange in just one conrer of the sky, with the rest still dark, and has progressed to a flood of peach in the east, slowly fading to lavender and then to blue. The tree that stands to the left side of the window across the creek is an outline of black branches against the sky, a perfect tree silhouette on peach and periwinkle.

Some mornings, it's just worth it.
