Sorry for the short-hand; in online roleplay in particular, 'IC' is used as the shorthand for 'in character'. In this case, something happened in character that meant that I needed staff intervention; as no staff were around, I was effectively frozen. This is as opposed to those moments when people you are in mid-scene with have to go to bed, which is out of character. :)
