A challenge from ruralrob, via susandennis: walk out to the sidewalk/street/otherwise out the front door, turn right, and take a photo of what's there. For those of you used to seeing my back view, this is a bit different! :) The thumbnail was almost as large as the final, so I skipped it...hope you don't mind.



And, two pictures worth thumbnailing, of the rainbow out back last week or sometime in that time frame. They did not come out half as brilliant as the rainbow, it was awe-inspiring and even doubled for a while (of course, none of those came out):

It was pretty dramatic, wasn't it? That's not a photo I had lying around, either - saw your post, grabbed camera, walked out, turned right - got that. It's been raining and storming so I suppose I'm not surprised, but still very cool. ;)

Very cool. The skies are one of the reasons I love the Northwest so much. Right now - as I type this - we have the sister of your sky. Beautiful.

Actually, its a wonderful photo isn't it? Striking, evocative and tells the viewer quite a bit about your world. I'd like to add you to my friends list - in fact I already have. Feel free to do the same if you can stand the excitement of life in the slow lane in Nanookville.
