Sigh. Cleaning out my list of a couple communities I no longer need (as I've left the abuse team - I have too much other stuff I want to do vying for my time at this point), I was reviewing the list and when I tried to click on the thumbtrack, hit the "remove friend" button instead.

I have no idea who or what I removed from my list. I know that it wasn't someone who watches me, because there isn't anyone watching me that I am not watching, where I would expect it to be otherwise.

I wish the client allowed you to queue these changes and then confirm them, instead of doing it straight away and leaving you no record of what you did. :( It's not coming to me immediately who it might have been, but of course, it wouldn't, either. Fooey.

using Kelvin, I got this list of those who listed you as friends who you did not have listed as friends:

kyrielle doesn't list these people, but they list kyrielle
13: antiques, deannajjones, erebrandir, ericsilverbear, highway, jerusha, jessypi, kaliteya, morgie, mrguard, strongbow1800, supersat, zorbathut

Joule didn't tell me that any of them had had you defriend them recently; either it was one of them that had never had their name run through there, one of them that had already been run today, or not someone who had you listed as a friend.

Was that it?

...though from the looks of things, that could have been one of the ones you were deleting in the not-support thing.

Searching for pages that had your username on Livejournal. The brute force method is where you see your name listed on the userinfo pages of others, from whenever Google did their last spidering, and match it with the names in your friend/friend of list to see if it is a match. If it is not a match, then it is a candidate for having been a recent deletion.

Did I mention that I was stubborn?

I came up with jnala as my final answer because of the three that did not match, you were showing in the "deleted him from friends since last run through Joule" category.

Attempt at memory-jogging = failure. Hm. What Would Miles Do?
Saturday, March 22nd, 2003 03:29 pm (UTC)
Damn!

Am now attempting to convince Google it needs to cough up a cached version of your userinfo page.

Is so far not working.

Not problem.

I like to take challenges and run into them headfirst, is all. So Google is obeying you, evidently.
