Tonight was the GURPS game. The game itself was fun - we fought the orcs, beat them, and then rode out one heck of a storm. The druid had to use shape plant to anchor our tents in place. Found out after the fact that it was a hurricane (unusual for the area, I think) and we were very lucky to have made it through that.

What made it even more fun was that it was storming in real life. Not by the end of the night (when we were dealing with the hurricane), but at the start of the session. Oregon - in the valley - doesn't often get lightning storms. We did this time and it was a grand one. Dark clouds, high wind, and lightning strikes every which way. A chain of three halfway to the horizon once; blinding flashes up close. It was quieter for a while and then, a single hit relatively nearby later on, and it definitely got the electric grid - all the lights dropped like they were on a dimmer switch, flickered dimly, then came back up. A full second or two for the full effect I think.

Wow. Hard to tell if it hit near home or not; the power wasn't off at any point, at any rate.
