I am slowly dying of the heat tonight. I am whinier than anything and keep going back down to the kitchen for cold liquids and ice packs. (Yes, I'd survive without them. I'd be whinier and more miserable, though. My body does not like heat and I overheat easily.)

I noticed something, as I got my glass out this time, that I have not noticed in the whole bloody year we've lived here.

My kitchen cupboards have adjustable shelves (and I have confirmed that the similar cupboards in the master bath do also). This means that if I can find shelves the right length, I can easily add them (the pegs are very standard, easy to match plastic thingies).

There's no shortage of storage space in our kitchen, but there's less than I'd like in some specific areas, and it all has to do with tall shelves and shallow contents.

Oh yes, I'm pleased. Very, very, very slow to notice things, but pleased.
