I roleplayed this morning/early afternoon for several hours. I went out and weeded in the front yard. I spent over an hour on it and it still needs work. SIGH. But it will have to wait: it now no longer needs work as badly as the back yard does....
I forgot to take my claritin this morning. The only good thing is I did remember before going out to weed that I hadn't taken it. Rather than take it then (it's not that powerful at first, and it would skew my schedule for a few weeks before I had it all around, unless I skipped tomorrow instead), I took one of the over-the-counter drowsing ones we had around. If it has enough to work on, it apparently doesn't knock me out...and the front yard was definitely "enough". I was sneezing in spite of the medicine. Though only briefly and I quickly took a break. I'm only slightly stupid, after all.
Paid the two bills that needed to be paid this weekend. After the down payment on the car, the household account is tight, but not so tight we can't manage. (Anyway, if I misjudge and we need to, Scott and I both have enough to infuse it temporarily. I think, however, that we pulled it exactly right. Yay.) Still need to pay my Visa bill, but I haven't got all the money in my checking account at this point, and I'd be a lot more worried if it were due before June 16. As it is, I'll get my ducks in a row and maybe even get my expense check from work (for the hotel stay, which is indeed on the card...).
The books that needed to go on the upper-most shelf of the library closet are up there. The space they were occupying is now available for the box that will hold "forget this, sell it back" books. That box is now available, its contents (bubble bath solutions, shampoos, etc.) having finally been emptied into the cupboard in the bathroom (sadly, they've sat in a box in the closet all this time...). A little bit of organization. Although I expect to be concentrating on the yard for at least two weeks, now....
This week will be a good time for household chores, anyway. I'm on level one pager, which has pretty strict response time requirements. Therefore, I will not go out and do stuff; I also won't probably get into many, if any, scenes, because I hate to do that when I might have to vanish. (None is a very likely count, as trying to get into a scene and wondering if you'll have to bug out of it sucks.) But a week off is not a bad thing. I can respond pretty well from outside doing weeding, as getting inside doesn't take that long and I can be listening to the problem as I go.
Must call Fry's and find out if I can pick up that stupid hands-free headset or not. Tired of them. Angry at them. (Long saga, mostly involving sucky computer system and inept store.) Also must remember to stop at library, and pick up the books waiting for me. (I love the hold system around here. I find what I want, and then when enough of them have come in, I go down, walk in the door, present my card, collect the books and leave. Very tidy.)
It's been fairly nice weather, really, but for that one day of heat I was griping about. It's settled down from that. It rained, but not when I was trying to do stuff outdoors; it's been cool-to-warm, not cold or hot. This is the sort of day that I like. Hopefully we'll get a goodly supply of them in before summer's heat really begins to hit.
