1. What's the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?

Indianapolis, for GenCon! :)

2. What's the most bizarre/unusual thing that's ever happened to you while travelling?

I think this would be during the trip to Mexico with my parents, my sophomore year of high school. A guy crashed his car into a pole while we were around, and we were stopped by the police because he claimed we were involved. My parents had studied Spanish in college...but I was in my second year of it in high school, making mine considerably more recent.

I hadn't studied the past tense yet, so all I could do was earnestly explain to the officer that "we do not hit - he does not hit us". In retrospect, it's funny; at the time it was embarrassing as heck, but it did get the point across, anyway. (Which didn't solve everything as there was another officer involved, but fortunately I didn't have to try to translate for that round.)

3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?

Oh, since you don't restrict to one anywhere, and assuming my own nerves could also be countered - Spain, Ireland, England, Mexico again (but with someone else - someone I trusted - responsible for any driving!), Hawaii, Australia, Canada, Alaska. I might even decide to go other places, but those are the ones that come immediately to mind.

4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?

This depends on a lot of things. If it happens to go where I am going and I have a lot of time, train - but this would be rare, and only if the journey was intended to be part of the trip. Otherwise - augh! Time-waster! Ditto for car, except a car leaves you a lot more control and can go more places.

I really want teleportation, but I'll take planes. I'm still at the stage of my life where the loss of comfort is well worth the gain of time to me. Although if life were perfect, I would never travel coach again. :)

5. What's the next place on your list to visit?

Not clear yet. Possibly Anaheim, in December, for GenCon So Cal - Scott and I haven't decided yes or no for that yet. On the other hand, I also have a lot of vacation to bleed, which means I may take off some time before then as well.

There are a lot of places I'd like to see some day. I ought to make a list and figure out which ones are reasonably possible - and which ones Scott's interested in, as well.
