Just about time to pack things up and head out, but I wanted to note first that it's lovely this morning. The pasture is covered in fog, visible as a thin haze even at the near edge; the sun is over teh horizon in an orange wash that backlights trees in slate-blue and green-black, most of the sky is clear but there are clouds down near the horizon, dusty blue-grey paler than the trees contrasting with the lighter ones that have been dyed peaches-and-cream.
There were what I think were coyotes in the meadow a bit ago, a pair of them, but they were walking across instead of back, so they were only in view briefly and I didn't get as good a look at them - or have time to haul the camera out, which I actually tried.
If the day is as good as the morning, I shall be quite cheerful.
