If you don't read [livejournal.com profile] lj_biz, you may be interested in this post about a patent on subdomains (actually, judging from comments, it may be purely a patent on subdomains that redirect to user ids, but the patent itself made my eyes cross, so...).

Possible? Sure. It was already April 1 in the UK when the Register article was linked. Brad says he also got an email, tho', and it's being talked about lots of places. And it was posted yesterday, so if it's an April Fools' joke, they cheated by starting a day ahead - those that are in the states, which definitely includes Brad.
