Mmm. Doing a clean-up of my hard drive tonight (archiving old stuff off to another drive, really), I found the photos from going to the Chihuly exhibit in Chicago with Jenn, a few years back.

I've learned a lot since then, and gotten a better camera. It's not that there are bad, blurry, or mis-exposed photos that astonishes me, so much as the huge number/percentage of them. As I recall (and the photos bring it back) the light was spectacularly bad for photos - too bright, wrong direction, too dim, too bright except on the subject(s) where it was too dim - anything it could manage to be. Even so, with my current knowledge, I'd have skipped some shots, reframed others, deleted others still and taken them again. With my current camera, some of the ones that failed would have succeeded - and I even know the tricks to make them do so.

And it's still a lovely walk down memory lane. I think I may take some of the ones that didn't fail and post them up to my buzznet account over the next few days.

Not tonight. Tonight, after a long day of laundry, bill-paying, roleplaying, and hard-drive-cleaning, I'm for bed.
