1. Christmas is celebrated by many people in many different ways. What does Christmas mean to you?

This depends on how I look at it. It is, on the one hand, a joyous but serious celebration for a religion I'm not a member of. On the other hand, it is a time of year to eat special foods, see beautiful sights such as decorative lights, listen to Christmas music, and give and receive presents. It's also the time of year when the most attention is called to those who are in need, so that it becomes easy to give things. It's a reminder of joy and goodness in the world; and it's an excuse for a four-day weekend, just as much.

2. Have you or do you attend a religious service on Christmas Eve or Christmas? Why?

No, as I'm not Christian.

3. It’s a Wonderful Life, Rudolph, Frosty, Home Alone? What is your favorite holiday film?

I have no idea. I haven't watched any since I was maybe in my teens, and I tend not to be able to remember movies when I try to think of them - I'm not coming up with any at all.

4. Which is better; the giving, or the getting?

The giving. Definitely the giving. Though the getting can be fun at times, for sure.

5. When you were little, what was something you asked Santa for, but now may make you chuckle?

I have no idea. Do people really normally remember this stuff? What you asked Santa for, whether you got it or not? Unless it's something really earth-shattering, why would you remember something that - well - trivial and banal?

Last year I saw The Hebrew Hammer. It has Andy Dick as the evil son of Santa Claus who murders his father so that he can destroy Hanukkah. It riffs on stereotypes of every kind. It is very funny in a Naked Gun sort of way.
