Name your favorite brands for the following products:

1. Cola:

Enh. Favorite? At one time Vanilla Coke but I don't drink that now. I'm equally pleased with Sprite and Dr. Pepper and the Albertson's house brand mimicry of same.

2. Sneakers:

No idea. Whatever fits and is reasonably priced at the discount shoe place, whenever I need new sneakers. (Not that frequently.)

3. Hair care:

Suave. I love shampoo I'm not allergic to.

4. Small electronics:

Small electronics? Like, not computer-level? No idea. I don't track brands there. Then again, I'm wishy-washy on computer brands, so.

5. Automobile:

Okay, yannow, I check by car, not by brand. (I like my Toyota Corolla. There are other Toyotas I would not touch. Etc.) And it varies as they update their lines. Given that I'm not car-buying this year, I have done no recent research and have no opinion. (I know one I dislike, because when I was hunting for the car that became the Corolla purchase, I checked their safety stuff and it had me cringing...but, hey, what's a little extra damage delivered by your car after you've been hit, right?)

[livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive: International Travel

1. You have the summer and plenty of money to travel abroad. Where all would you go?

Spain and Italy. And possibly parts of Mexico, if there was time.

2. What foods would you be sure you got to eat?

I'm not sure. I'm very cautious, food-wise. And I haven't researched this because I have not the time, and if I did, I probably wouldn't do it because there are so many other things I could do first. That don't involve many-hour flights.

3. What landmarks would you be sure you got to see?

See above about research. The draw for those two countries for me is to see the daily life, but I'm quite quite sure that if I did it, I'd take the time to find the landmarks also. Because otherwise it'd be silly!

4. What airline would you use?

Um. See above about research. Especially when outside the US; inside the US I'm mostly indifferent to carrier. (Except I will never fly America West by choice.)

5. Would your knowledge of other languages influence where you went? (i.e. would you be more likely to go to France if you spoke French?)

Well, I speak Spanish, but I think rather that learning that language fed my interest in Spanish-speaking countries than that I picked them because I would speak the language. And Italy I don't, although the two are close enough I could likely muddle through (and cause vast amusement).
