Spanish class went okay. I was barely on time, but the teacher was 10 minutes late, so "barely on time" sounds pretty good to me. There were five of us today, and the one guy talked for 45 minutes. Out of a two hour (well, 1:50 this time) class.... Wow.

Fortunately, that meant the rest of us only had to manage about 15 minutes, which I was well able to do. This week was talking about the state we're from so I did okay...and I didn't get any jibes at me, and I didn't get teased, mocked, or pointed at for picking the wrong word, saying too little, etc. Mind you, I think every other student did tonight, but I didn't.

The room was too cold. I had my arms crossed and shoulders pulled in about a half hour in. I managed to resist the urge to huddle completely, whilst shuffling my blocks of ice...err, I mean feet...about.

Then class was over and I went outside. Oh boy. It's fall. It's thinking winterish thoughts. I had my sweater on and was already chilly.

I was shivering. I sat down in the car, and without walking to keep me distracted, I shook like a leaf. I got the car started for heat, and my teeth were chattering so hard I clenched my jaw to stop them.

Ayi. At that point, anyway, the heat hit a LITTLE - enough that I could turn it on my hands and deal, enough that I could stop shaking and drive. By the time I got home, 10 minutes after the heat started working, I was almost comfortable. My feet were still a bit chilly, but not bad.

I've turned the heat up here, especially in the bedroom but also downstairs. My feet are blocks of ice again.

And I'm tired.

Time for this block of ice to have a nice, warm shower, with the heater on to make sure I don't freeze stepping out of it, and crawl into bed in a hopefully-warm room.

Wish me luck.
