I am enjoying the reaction thus far to the spinning kitties icon. Hehe.

Awake, likely about to head off to work. I had a good weekend. The things that needed to get done, got done. Other than that, I wrote bits of poetry, and played online games a great deal. World of Warcraft (my shaman is almost level 34 - my goal is 35, since she kind of has her alchemy skill maxed and has since maybe level 29 or 30...sigh). And online tabletop rp, which was much much much fun.

Also read the latest Dragonriders of Pern book, Dragonsblood. It's interesting - I know it's written by Todd, but I don't perceive it as different or a change in the series - he definitely has the world and feel down. The tale he picked to tell is one that I don't think will thrill those who left the series over Aivas or some of the other stuff, but for those who were still having fun at that point it would probably work. It is not, however, an easy read - this man is harsh to people. It's enough to make you cry, reading it. (Trust me. I did.)

I'll be interested to see what he does next with Pern, because he can't pull another one like this, I don't think. And I'm not sure how much more the setting can be milked. And yet, I love it enough to keep reading them anyway....

It was a weekend. It was even a good weekend. Now, I take myself off to work. This week looks to be busy-ish between work and evening commitments but I'm sure that won't stop me from reading and posting. (Maybe I'll even find another excuse to use the kitties. On the other hand, apparently they mesmerize people into staring at them. And usually I want people to actually read my words. *grins*)
