Going to bed, of course. But first I had to finish reading Anansi Boys. I wanted to know how it ended. And I was afraid if I stopped reading it, inertia would prevent me from every starting again.

Honestly? It's not that great a book. American Gods is better but neither, when I think about it, is an enjoyable book, taken as a whole. Both have moments. But that's...all they've got.

(Fair advertising: I don't like watching people make fools of themselves or be made fools of themselves. As Gaiman spends a fair bit of time actively tormenting his main character in this way, it's like fingernails on chalk for me. I'm not sure it's a bad story if you like these sorts of things, although it still seemed rather forced and uninteresting by turns, to me. But that might be because I was skimming it because I was bored and fingernail-chalk-cringe by turns.)

Ahwell. That takes care of the 14-day loan books that have holds on them, so at least that's no longer a problem.
