Made it to Fry's today, picked up the UPS and computer skate. Looked at the graphics tablets and decided (once again) that I am simply not that interested. Even the cheap ones aren't cheap in price, only quality, and I simply wouldn't use it enough to justify. None of the hard drives were on sale, so they got ignored. And I fled with my needed items only.
The cashier I got is someone I've dealt with several times over the course of the dying of my old desktop / replacement of same. So we chatted. I was right. The computers DID go down yesterday, which is how come they achieved line-around-the-store. Well, only halfway around but that is still DARNED impressive.
I feel very sorry for them. But I add this to my seasonal joys: I DON'T WORK THERE.

A quick look at Ebay seems to indicate that cheap-o graphics tablets there run under $20.
