Five on Friday
1. Do you wear perfume or cologne?
Almost never. Some of them set off my allergies/sensitivities and most of the rest are vile; putting anything in either category on would be silly. The remainder can still be overwhelmingly strong at times, so I still mostly don't use them. But occasionally I'll wear myrtlewood perfume.
2. What brand or kind of soap do you use?
Softsoap, and Dove.
3. Do you use anything to scent your home (candles, potpourri, scented oils, etc.)?
Candles, sometimes.
4. What's your favorite scent on a member of the gender to which you're attracted?
None. See question one. Most colognes, aftershaves, and soaps are vile. (Scott has discovered that using Irish Spring soap is a good way not to have a lot of Laura time until it wears off in late afternoon, because the scent it leaves on him after he's all rinsed and dry is so strong it makes me sneeze.)
5. Have you ever tried aromatherapy? If so, describe your experience; if not, do you think it works?
No. With my allergies and sensitivities and general "ew, get that out of my face" response to strong smells, I suspect the results would be pretty miserable in my case. I have no clue if it works or not; I've never investigated it much, out of indifference. A substantial number of people seem to believe it works, though; that's a compelling argument, so who knows.
