*pant, pant, pant*

Man, the weather here...the northeast gets flooding, we get a scorcher. This afternoon was miserable - I needed the air conditioning and no doubt of it. Heck, this morning it was already over 70 when I went to get my allergy shots...at 9:30 am.

It was 96 around 4. The forecast high was 97 (here - in another nearby city it was 99 - don't ask me why they differed...), so we came pretty close and maybe even hit it.

The previous record high for this day was in 1995. And was 83 degrees. Let's try that again: we broke the record by over ten degrees.

I'll just be over here in a corner, slowly solidifying from the puddle I melted into between the time I got home and the time the air conditioning really took effect....

Funny, and here I've been lamenting the damp/rainy, 50/60ish degree weather here. If we could trade just a little bit of each, it seems like things would be more like what we're used to in our respective parts.

Pretty much. 70s would be far more normal as a high right now....

Thank you. It should be better the rest of the week but still weirdly hot - the highs are all in the mid or upper 80s through Thursday. Friday it drops back to 75 and starts looking normal thereafter, in theory. I'm looking forward to that rather a lot. :P
