"What do you mean, it's not supposed to be summer yet? Oh, all right...."

I swear, the weather around here has some kind of mood disorder. :P Monday last week it was 99 degrees for a high, breaking previous records by unholy amounts. Last night, I was witness to one of the more violent storms I've seen in this area - not that they compare to the Midwest, mind. Rolling thunder, dark clouds, winds whipping the trees back and forth, rain pelting down. The rain was falling hard enough that, coupled with the wind's force, it sounded like hail where it hit the windows and the house. It soaked everything good and solid and quick.

Today it has settled into spring weather: warm, but very very wet, lots of rain.

"Oh, that season."

Yes, yes, THAT season. Thank you. My yard thanks you, too, but couldn't you have figured this out last week, Mother Nature?

That storm yesterday was crazy. It's been a long time since it's rained that hard around here. And I had just planted some mums.. poor things are flat and scraggly now.

Golly gee, sounds like it's time for a visit. :-) I love the weather you describe...probably one of the reasons why I'm still in the Midwest.

I hear ya. The weather here has been quite whacky this spring as well. Summer is going to hit like a sledgehammer, I just know it. We're going to go directly from cool and moist to hazy, hot and humid... and I will be longing for northern Arizona.
