Specifically, Charles de Lint's Widdershins. (Which, if you haven't read some of the Newford stories and especially The Onion Girl, you do not want to read - it will spoiler - particularly The Onion Girl - as well as not make as much sense if you haven't read that one.)

Glee. Much, much glee - a very very very good book.

Also, got allergy shots today. Unfun but went basically okay.

Hmm. Should one also avoid this is one hated The Onion Girl?

(which I didn't, or at least, not the way I hated Spirits in the Wires. But...).

I would have to say that it would depend on why one hated The Onion Girl, if so. It focuses on some of the same characters (Jilly especially), but it has a very different tone and such. I just note The Onion Girl because, unlike a lot of the Newford tales, this one actually has a past and it will be much less effective without having read TOG first (not to mention spoilering it to high heaven and back).

But...depending on reason...dislike of The Onion Girl might suggest not reading this. I just don't know. (And I could explain that more, but it might constitute a spoiler, so....)
