Bliss, bliss. I don't like the site scheme any better, but a comment I made elsewhere in discussion of the stupid navbar drew a reply from
jesspark who supplied this link to a post that describes how to remove the navbar even when someone else's journal forces it on you.
It should still be an option in LJ to never ever EVER see the thing, but at least I can end up with that option. Much happier about that.
