Boring, but good. Work goes well. Life goes well. BPAL scents go well (and I think I like The Bow & Crown of Conquest). Backing off the bpal for now because I should get allergy shots next week.

I place a lot of holds through my library, as it's much easier to just pick them all up in one place (not to mention if it's actually not on one of the libraries' shelves). How many?

So many that, more often than not, when I go into the library and am the next one to be helped, the librarian will wave me to their station while walking over to the hold area. They know my name. They know what to look for. They scan the card when they get back with the books....

*laughs* Yay, books! I love the library.

You remind me of the first time I walked into my comic shop and they had my box pulled and waiting for me to check out before I got to the counter. :->

My library knows me on sight, but I am (a) adult and (b) pale-skinned, both of which are vanishingly rare among their everyday patrons.

Also, I'm in there more than once a week. Gots to get my fix ...

My library also knows me on sight. More frighteningly, one of them apparently knows me by voice. I phoned in to cancel a hold (we can place them online but not cancel them). The librarian asked for the title I wanted cancelled and took care of it. He never asked for my card number, my name, or any other identifying information, and I wasn't calling from the phone number on file with them. (Fortunately, my librarians are pretty cool people, so I'm not that worried.)
