Finally saw the second Pirates movie tonight. It's good; I don't think it's spectacular; I'm glad I saw it on the big screen because the effects are worth it.

I don't know how to judge what would be spoiler to say and what wouldn't, so I'll leave it at that, as well as adding the common complaint: it could be a bit shorter. Yeesh. That was most of my evening!

When I went, it was with the wifey and a couple of friends from high school. We tried to hit the 10:30 PM showing on the spur of the moment, but it was sold out, so we caught the 11-something-ish. Movie that's over 2.5 hours? Should not start after 11-something-ish in the evening. My sentiment mirrors something I read in a webcomic not long after the film came out: the only thing that could have made it better would have been the other half of the rutting film.


Yes, I am quite bitter about the waiting-for-part-III. That is all.
