Snagged from several people - pick 12 of your characters, list and number, then answer the questions. I haven't given 'location' for characters played only in tabletop, online taletop, etc., but I have listed mushes for characters played on them.
01. Zulaikh/Susan (nyan; Ashes to Ashes and Ephemera)
02. Lauren (uneasy siren, A Time Endless)
03. Alariel, once Queen of Galosea (Forever-child and manipulator, Ambermush)
04. Satha (Paladin of Mystra)
05. Cecilia (painter/wishcrafter, Deliria - Miracle Season)
06. Teresa (female "Caitiff" (Assamite), Vampire Dark Ages game)
07. Aicheh (demon-bred shifter, Blood of Amber)
08. Astera (hunter/fighter/mercenary, non-human)
09. Jemmael ti'Jasner (Ambermush)
10. Rachel Henderson (sluagh, Twin Cities mux, NOT the Teatime one)
11. Rebecca (Becky) Harris (sluagh, Ephemera)
12. Jenny Richards (satyr kinain, Memoir of Betrayal and hopefully will be in a play-by-LJ also)
Q1. Who would make a better college professor, #6 or #11?
Teresa or Becky. Sheesh. Probably Becky; she's intelligent and somewhat bookish, at least. But having a classful of college students would drive her nuts, and I hate to think what she'd teach them besides the curriculum. She's a little young for it, too. Teresa simply doesn't have the background for it, though, and I think she'd consider it a waste of their time and hers.
Q2. Do you think #2 is hot? How hot?
Um. Personally, no. I am aware, however, that almost any human male in her vicinity would disagree with me if she were singing, and most would if she were speaking. That is kind of her nature....
Q3. #12 sends #8 on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Jenny sends Astera on a mission...wow, talk about universe-crossing. It probably involves delivering a gift or package in dangerous territory (or guarding Jenny, but I'm not sure that would count as 'send'), in which case, whether or not it succeeds depends on how dangerous 'dangerous' is. Astera can take care of herself pretty well (something about her race being a demon-human out-crossing), so it probably succeeds.
Q4. What is or would be #9's favourite book?
Jemmael. Um. I'm not sure, but it's probably a romance. Assuming you can get her to spend the time to read. (She does read non-fiction, but to learn, not to enjoy. She'd rather have a teacher than a book, given her druthers.)
Q5. Would it make more sense for #2 to swear fealty to #6, or the other way around?
Lauren and Teresa. Um. Since Teresa is (like most of my alts) female, I'm going to say it makes more sense for Lauren to swear fealty to Teresa. That doesn't make a lot of sense, but by Lauren's time, if Teresa's still in existence, she's really big and scary, so she could probably terrorize the nervy siren into it. (I believe she'd regret it when Jack caught up with her, however.)
Q6. For some reason, #5 is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with #9 or with #10?
Cecilia...and.... Oh dear. Well, for her sake, neither. But if I had to pick, easily Rachel. As long as Rachel isn't given a reason to have problems with Cece, they'd probably get along (Cece is very social, but she'd figure out quickly that Rache isn't, and she'd just go off and socialize), and Cece would be great company for her in terms of the whole 'art' thing.
Q7. #2 , #7 and #12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Lauren, Aicheh, and Jenny. Well, I think they end up at Jack's (and Lauren's) place for dinner ("you'll love his cooking," Lauren explains, "and I'm sure he won't mind"), which will make his evening interesting. I suspect that Lauren and Jenny, after they get done staring at Aicheh (who never shifts into a form that's human/animal normal, so probably looks Really Weird), will end up talking about music - Lauren does sing, and likes some pop, after all; and Jenny is a folk musician. (Heck, they might even get Jack involved in that conversation.) Of course, if they decide to actually sing together, then Jenny plays and sings, and Lauren sings, and they're gonna cause a Disturbance.
Q8. #3 challenges #10 to a duel. What happens?
Alariel challenges Rachel to a duel. Alariel is not a stupid child at all, which means it will be a mental or sorcerous duel, probably the former. Rachel winds up in even deeper doodoo than she was. Alariel wouldn't challenge her if she held the sluagh's bracelet, so she doesn't, which means Rachel is still someone else's slave (via her collar), AND she's now Alariel's slave. She probably winds up worshipping her, actually; that's one of Alariel's favorite techniques.
Q9. If #1 stole #8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
Susan...stole Astera's.... That doesn't make sense. Astera believes things come and go. I suppose it would be her sword, provided she was where she couldn't readily get another. But Susan doesn't normally steal. I have to presume that Astera was about to hurt someone Susan cared about with it. Susan will either talk her around, or other friends of the party about to be hurt will make sure Astera doesn't need it again anyway. Susan will probably talk Astera around, then return the sword.
If Susan just takes off with it for some reason, I doubt Astera gets it back. Susan has too many people to hide behind, and buying a new sword is easier.
Q10. Suggest a title for a story in which #7 and #12 both attain what they most desire.
Aicheh...and Jenny. Okay, Aicheh wants to kill all the older high-Blooded Lords of Helgram for killing its father. Jenny? Wants to be a fae, instead of just kinain. I think we'll go with "Rush" for a title.
Q11. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted #4 and #1 to work together?
Satha and Susan. Not a problem: just bring in a bad nasty evil thing. As long as they can both do something effective against it, they will. Satha's solution will probably involve cutting it up, while Susan's more likely to mobilize other people, but.... (Of course, how you get them in the same WORLD is another question.)
Q12. If #7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Aicheh. Oh dear lords. We wouldn't. If it knew I'd created its world and history, it would probably kill me. If it didn't, I'd run screaming. I don't think my mind could actually take that.
Q13. If you could command #3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
*gulp* "Please go away?" Asking her to do something for me would be...well, I don't really need people enslaved, coerced, or charmed, and she's basically out for number one, and ... yeah, I don't think I'd enjoy worshipping her either. :P
Q14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw #11?
Nope.
Q15. If #2 had to choose sides between #4 and #5, which would it be?
Lauren choosing between Satha and Cecilia. Cecilia - she'd understand her better, since they're both from modern-day Earth, while Satha's from Waterdeep.
Q16. What might #10 shout while charging into battle?
She wouldn't; she can't shout, and the noise would upset her anyway. If she were ordered to charge into battle, she'd go silently.
Q17. If you chose a song to represent #8, which song would you choose?
Dan Fogelberg, "Ghosts".
Q18. #1, #6, and #12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Susan, Teresa, and Jenny. Jenny gets it. Teresa wouldn't actually eat it, so she's just teasing. Susan would pull her hand back when she saw Jenny wanted it, unless she were starving (which, since it's the last one left, she obviously isn't).
Q19. What might be a good pick-up line for #2 to use on #10?
Lauren on Rachel. There isn't one: Lauren isn't interested in men and Rachel isn't interested in men, girls, or anything else that way. On the other hand, if she just wanted to take Rachel off with her, "Hey, look at this pretty bracelet I've got." One angry sluagh, now following.
Q20. What would #5 most likely be arrested for?
Cecilia? Littering, or some form of nuisance/irritation thing for her art, if you mean on earth. In faerie? Oh, let's see, assisting with revolutions, delivering milk and cookies to someone who shouldn't have them, theft of a boat assuming someone was using it before she drew it, involuntary manslaughter, assisting in a jailbreak, kidnapping, probably one or two more I've forgotten.
Q21. What is #6's secret?
Teresa? Her secret is that she's an Assamite, and how she got that way. (She's female and Christian; her lord was Christian, and he captured an Assamite, drained people himself, then fed the drained people from the Assamite. It actually worked on one...and BOY were they not happy. She calls herself Caitiff for a reason.)
Q22. If #11 and #9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Jemmael would arrive before Becky. Becky would be riding her bike. Jemma would either shift to a form that could run fast or fly. That assumes the location is in the same Shadow. If it's not, Jemma would get there, and Becky wouldn't, because she doesn't know how to cross Shadow.
Q23. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of #7 or #8?
Aicheh or Astera. Um, Astera. As a Liden, she looks semi-human, and she's a really good fighter. Aicheh is really really unnerving and not even very useful in that case. Plus, Astera can see well in low light (they both can, actually).
Q24. #1 and #9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by #4's sinister secret organization. #11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he/she is actually a spy for #4. Meanwhile, #4 has kidnapped #12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of #5, they seek out #3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?
Susan and Jemmael reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by Satha's.... I'm stopping there, because Satha having a sinister secret organization is totally implausible. Sorry. Let's substitute #7 there....

"The Helgram affairs". Why? Because Jemma's Helgram-born, and that's Aicheh's big kick, trying to get rid of them (only without getting caught). It's a good thing Susan's involved - Jemma would probably sacrifice Jenny, if she had to. I wonder what Alariel's price was, though....
