So much for clam chowder in the crockpot. First it was a pain to make, second the instructions apparently assume 'high' is a lot higher than it is, since I didn't exactly get it cooked when it was supposed to be, and thirdly, the result is disgusting. I halved the onion input and it's still too freaking oniony. It tastes like onion soup, with no clam aspect.

I hate cooking. The only excuse for having to cook is getting to eat something I want at the end of it (such as clam chowder - I can't buy it, because I need it made with lactose free milk; the pills are not enough with standard chowder). So getting to the end of all that effort and mess with something I can't stand is just...reminding me why I just stop eating things I can't buy ready-made in some acceptable format. I hate cooking when it produces results; when it doesn't, I'm so frustrated I can hardly stand to think about it. I wasted time on this crap today, and I wish I had never even heard of the recipe.

But, I don't have to worry about whether it reheats okay, or whether you can freeze and reheat it. (If the recipe had been good, those would have been the next questions - and with clam chowder, I suspect the answers would have been no, which would ALSO have annoyed me. Though that would be better than having this much inedible ick.)
