Sunday night, after visiting my parents, I drove over to Beaverton to go to Craft Warehouse (which was out of what I wanted, but oh well). It has been years since I have driven to Beaverton from there. I still knew the route but it was unnerving going up Albertson, which has changed a bit (more houses) and was in any case just a long gravel road going up with trees, so I never really classified it in my mind. As a result it looked subtly wrong most of the way up. It was beautiful, though - I left Mom & Dad's just at dusk and as I drove up it was dark, and the road is steep and the top of the hill is covered in evergreens and the full moon was above them in a dark blue sky...glorious! Absolutely glorious.

Then down Bald Peak...from there into Beaverton, through Farmington, it all looked very much as expected. I didn't remember it - I'd forgotten Farmington altogether! - but I recognized each turn and spot as I came to it, no problems. And it was an absolutely gorgeous drive with the full moon up.

Farmington would like you to know that its feelings are very hurt.

What was it you were needing? The Gresham Craft Warehouse is a lot better stocked than Beaverton tends to be. They're at 224th and SE Division, and there's plenty of easy parking there. **HUGS**

Easy way to get there - take your best route to I-84, go east toward Gresham, get off at the 207th/Fairview exit. Turn right (south). When the road T's, turn left (east). At the next stoplight, turn right (south). Stay on that road (223rd? 224th?) until it crosses Division street. Cross Division and then take the first left into the shopping center. Craft Warehouse will be practically in front of you. :)

The past few nights, when I get home the full moon's bright enough to see by (not really to drive by, and I wouldn't try it anyway), and the air's been so crisp that the moon isn't glaring and the brighter stars and even some of the dimmer stars are quite visible. It makes a great tableau. ^_^
