I should be in bed now. I will fix that soon.

Went out to visit Dad this morning and we picked up Mom's ashes - got a very nice, elegant but not overdone urn. It was kind of interesting - he and I had almost identical reactions to the options, I think. It was strange and hard (at least for me) to bring her home and know that this was as much of her as we'd have again.

Got to pet and cuddle the cats. Then came home. When I drove over, I took the Tualatin route because the Newberg school district wasn't running buses out part of the Wilsonville Road (according to the school alerts), and I figured that might mean going through there was a Not-Bright idea. Since I have to run the length of it through there to get in to Newberg, I skipped. On North Valley I just barely got to go past the place where the speed limit changes (Chehalem Way? I'm not sure--) - they were juuuuust removing the orange cones and letting one lane through at a time, after removing a large tree that came down across the road. They had very obviously had it closed both directions, not only with cones but flares (that had since burned out) and all that fun. Good timing, I guess.

On the way home I took the Wilsonville Road. It was cluttered with small tree debris but otherwise clear. There was a tree down next to the guardrail on one curve, but on the side away from the road. It is the guardrail that they were replacing when I drove past earlier this week (I had to slow down nicely and ease past the equipment, they had flaggers out and one lane there). I am glad it came down NEXT TO the guardrail. If it had come down ON their new guard rail I do not imagine they would have been happy.

I meant to pay bills, file a refund request, do laundry, and prepare Christmas cards tonight. Instead, I ... did the laundry, and played World of Warcraft with Scott (who came home earlier than I had anticipated when making those plans). We completed most of the Winter Veil (holiday) quests and had fun. Mostly. Except for the whole 'four hundred people pile on the Greench when he spawns, and one group actually gets him' part....

Ah well. Bed now. Paperwork stuff tomorrow sometime, with a goal of mailing on Monday. If cards arrive late, I'll cope.

:hugs: Still thinking about you all -- glad that you had some fun on WoW.
