I was going to spend almost all of today at my parents' house, going through things, trying to get organized. Instead, I went out only briefly, with Scott. Why? Because I got up this morning with the beginnings of a cold, and I'd really rather not get nastily sick. It's not that time critical, even if it feels like it. (I think it feels like it because I still feel this desperate wish that I could go back in a time machine and warn Dad, that somehow it could be a bad dream and not have happened. And that desperation, so useless, is easily turned on things that I actually can do. However, I don't think I'll get things done any faster if I get a really bad cold. I'd rather out-rest this one now. So far, I am feeling a little better and not worse, so it may be working.) Scott put out the cat and bird food, so I didn't have to do much outdoors in the biting wind, bless him.
Today's photos are from the Ridge - one of the vineyard. I haven't done one of those a week, as Dad intended. I flat forgot. And it doesn't change that much, week to week. But I felt guilty about it today, and the easiest thing to do was to take a photo of the vineyard. That's this one and I think it's not bad.
This is a photo of the hill the road goes up north of the house - not such an inspiring photograph by itself, but I added a few of my memories to it, anyway.
Scott and I played World of Warcraft this afternoon and I've since been vegging about the house, alternating between whatever sounds good at the time (including some more WoW, mostly working on my jewelcraft). Scott's gone to Dale's for the rest of the afternoon and the evening.
