Today, my order of all three seasons of the original Star Trek arrived.

Today, I picked up the CDs with the scans of slides/negatives (mine and my parents' photos). As well as the slides and negatives, of course.

Yeah, guess who is not watching the DVDs tonight? You got that right. I've looked already at two of the three CDs done from the slides (those will take the least work to get ready for upload since no cropping is needed), and am very, very pleased. So maybe, just maybe I will get some of those up tonight. Maybe I won't. I may just be browsing through them and enjoying the memories...but I have them. GLEE!

Did you get the new Star Trek TOS, the ones that have been remastered? I've heard both good and bad about them. The enhanced visual effects sound very nice but those who really want "the original series" may be slightly disappointed. I have all of the original series on VHS and will likely get the DVD version at some point. It will be interesting to compare.

I have not seen the remastered ones myself, but another LJ friend has. He claims that many of the space scenes and battles have been enhanced... you don't see the pasted frames of the shuttlecraft flying through space... planets look like real planets.... phaser blasts and photon torpedos are different...

Yeah, I don't know if it has been released yet. He caught a couple of episodes on the tube.
