The pet food recall is for 'slices in gravy' only. However, we feed our cats the 'entree' (ie, mush) style of one of the affected brands. This makes me so nervous. But dry food as her only diet is, I think, why Basta (with only one fang left to her name) was losing weight. I hate to switch her to all-dry, and the wet I'm using is probably fine, but it makes me nervous. Of course, mostly what makes me nervous is the simple reminder that there are no certain guarantees. I guess I should be glad Basta can't chew her food, since it meant I wanted to avoid the things that required chewing. If she could chew, we almost certainly would have been feeding them some of the types that have been recalled.
(I wrote this way earlier today, but forgot to post it. Go figure.)
