Pet food recall.

Well, the FDA looked at it and DID NOT find rat poison. They could not confirm that it was there. They did find another chemical, though.

Now we have to worry about dry food maybe, too? Looks like Purina's not on either the cat or dog list, and that's what I use, so I'm more at ease. Still, this is horrible. :(

This is all pretty scary stuff and leaves me deeply concerned about the food that WE eat. The food supply would be a prime target for terrorists it seems... since it obviously not monitored very closely.

My impression from some of the articles I've seen is that they are talking about further regulating the pet food industry. I believe the human food industry is regulated more closely. But there's always the chance that something could go wrong, yes. Scary stuff. Makes the local farmer's markets seem a good idea....
