In the morning, I flip between two radio stations that give frequent
traffic reports, trying to get one before I am committed to the
freeway (in case I don't want to be). This morning, when I turned the
car on, the number on the clock ended in 9. That's bad, because one of
my two options gives reports on the 5s - which happen to be 8s on that
clock, which is off a bit.

So I went to the other one. I was most of the way up Stafford and
about to turn on 65th, when they came on and did traffic. A semi had
overturned on I-5 northbound at Terwilliger and was blocking all
lanes, police were diverting traffic off at 217.

1) I need the 'B' exit for which 217 is the 'A'. It was unclear
whether I could get to it.

2) I could just imagine what that area (and everything past it, as no
one was getting much of anywhere past it) would look like.

I didn't head for the freeway....

Sometimes, the traffic report comes on in time.

Whoa, that's a bad turnover! Good thing you heard about it when you did.

O.o Wow. Glad you got that report in time. Traffic's annoying enough without that. Sounds like that driver was an accident waiting to happen. It's lucky no one else was injured.

[Aside] - When I see the station's call letters KATU, I think Katu Verata Nikto! XD

Most commonly recognized in pop culture today from the Sam Raimi movie Army of Darkness (at least by me).
