Russian Tea. This time I got it "right" (matched to my memories, not to the recipe).
Cut the sugar to 1/2 cup, pour over it the lemon and orange juice, boil the water and add it - but only 3.5 cups, not 5. It's not as thinned out. Skip the almond extract altogether (I'm sensitive to almonds, so I avoid it), and the nutmeg can be added when you serve if you want, or not. (I go with 'not', both because I'm lazy and because last time I tried to add a 'dusting' of nutmeg, I discovered just how much nutmeg can go through the "sprinkle" style lid before you can stop it - and that's rather a lot....)
Does this even qualify for the cooking tag? That seems like a stretch. :P
Babe doesn't like the new teakettle, which is a stovetop sort that whistles. She disappears a few seconds before I hear it whistle, both times so far. Poor Babe!
