I have recently read Laurie Marks's Fire Logic, Earth Logic, and Water Logic. I am very much enjoying the series and I wish the fourth book (Air Logic, as you might have guessed) were available already. I wonder what will happen next; I wonder if my wild, but very trite, hope will come to pass or not, but it's at least theoretically possible so now I must wait and see. This is a high-fantasy setting; if you like such things, you might enjoy it. (Of course, I have no idea what any of us might think of the last book. Argh, want book!)
Now I'm reading Heart of Light by Sarah Hoyt. I'm not far enough in to be sure what to think of it for sure. Initial guess is that if it stays this good, I will enjoy it, but only mildly. (If it stays this good, however, I will have to recommend it to a few of you reading this - it's high fantasy historical, the era of the British Empire, with some serious revisions to reality from the magic.)

It didn't hit my amazon listing, or the local bookstores. Bah. Wonder if I can get the first two at the library...been so long since I've read 'em....
