Got my allergy shots this morning. I'm back up to maintenance in two of the three bottles. With luck, I can get the third to maintenance before the third trimester. (Yes, it's a ways away. Yes, my allergies are brats.) We'll have to freeze then and may have to step back, so it'd be nice to push it as high as is reasonably possible before then. Besides, getting back to maintenance means I'm finally a) reacting well and b) getting in often enough at the same time. Yays.
Had a second medical appointment today, with a dermatologist. Pregnancy can cause changes in moles, which is probably what happened to mine, but I wanted them checked and sure enough, he erred on the side of caution. I'm minus two moles that acquired mixed-color patches. Reasonably sure (as is he) that both will come back okay. (One had a black line through it; the other had a spot on it.) New one for me! My other two removed moles in the past were respectively cut out and "punched"; only one to require stitches was the punched one, mostly 'cause it was on my upper arm and the skin there moves a lot. These two were both above skin surface, and were snipped (cut roughly flush with the surface) - then cauterized. (Don't worry, local anesthetic is used for any of these procedures - didn't feel a thing and they still don't hurt. Aftercare is to act normal, not worry about them, showers/washing are fine, if they start to look infected get them looked at. Odds of that are apparently quite low.) Presumably this wouldn't be a good option if either were on areas that are often seen, since I suspect it may scar (but I don't know that, didn't ask, and don't care, given their locations). It was actually very quick to get done. (And they got me in quickly. Not because it was a big deal, not because their schedule had a lot of openings, but because when I called they happened to have had a cancellation on today - and I leaped at a convenient, relatively-soon Friday appointment, 'cause hey, tailored for me!)
Cancelled my airline ticket for Gencon. Babe will get to see the vet Thursday next week. I'm sure she'd be thrilled to know this. She still whines or snarls (depending on her mood) when given her meds. Sounds truly vicious. Looks like a cornered, desperate cat. Makes no attempt to attack with her completely unrestrained forepaws. She is such a sweetheart.
I have been sucked in by the silly little "grab an egg, get a dragonling" site thing. Sigh. Thus, my eggs:

I get the one on my face removed next Thurs. By a plastic surgeon of all things. going to have about four stitches I think. He claims there will be no scar. Seems like a n ok guy. Hope so!

I hope yours goes well. It should! I've never had one off on my face, but the other two I've had removed (including the one that needed stitches on my arm) left no scarring at all. The fact that it's a plastic surgeon doing it is probably because it's on your face - I admit, if I needed one off there, I'd want to be as sure as possible of no scarring also!

Someday, I would like to just get ALL of my big weird ugly ones taken off, not just this occasional "well, we'll take off your weirdest mole and test it and leave all the others alone unless they change" thing.

I admit, the one on my shoulder was bound to go some day. It was larger; it stood up; and it was well-positioned to get caught by straps and such and bruised, and sooner or later it was gonna look suspicious even if it wasn't.
