The beef roast turned out okay - I'd do it differently in the future but it's very edible. Cooked green beans (not in a crock pot, just a quick boil) and potatoes to go with it. Yummy. Some of the roast is frozen, some waits to be eaten in the next couple days. I have a lovely lunch and snack set prepped for work tomorrow (roast, potato, green beans; lemon cucumbers, green pepper, blueberries).

Babe approved of the beef roast too, at least the smell of it. She came to the table to stroll around our feet and beg, and she is NOT normally given to doing that. She doesn't need beef roast. We did go all tender-hearted and indulge her with a small forkful of canned cat food, however. Not quite what she'd intended but she seemed fairly pleased with that result, so I guess it is all good. :)

The Italian veggies thing I am not so sure about. It ended up in the larger crock pot since that was available, which turned out to be fortunate - I hadn't realized the recipe was quite so large. It would not have fit in the smaller one. I have enough veggies for a gathering, not a family of two! And I'm not too fond of the results. Sigh. Scott is at a friend's house tonight. I hope he likes them better than I do. They're...edible. I won't use that recipe again, tho.

I'll probably make the cobbler tomorrow night, since I'd like to get to it before the berries have sat too long. I expect that to turn out lovely, given the last time I used a variant of the recipe it did, and these blueberries are rather nicer than the frozen stuff I used in that one! I won't be using all of them - a lot of them, yes, but I'll keep some back for nibbling.

That Dragon Cave thing is silly - and addictive. I'm trying to avoid tossing my hatchlings and eggs up here and possibly aggravating people, except when I am desperate (like when the paper got sick and needed views), but if you want to have a look at them, my full set (adults, hatchlings, and eggs) is here: http://dragcave.net/user/kyrielle
