It's a boy!

(Also official: I love having first appointment of the day, they got me in to the ultrasound on time, and in to the rest of the appointment early. Yay!)

Congrats on the boy.

They're harder to potty train, but at least they won't come home knocked up! ;)

Wow. I've never had a baby but it seems to me that learning the gender just puts such a face on him. I know he was real before but - I'm not saying this correctly but cool. :)

Yeah, they're relatively new -- and in so much detail that the resulting picture is sort of the quality of a fuzzy photo. You get relatively realistic images instead of the really blurry ultrasound picture that you have to know how to read.

(Sorry, but the episode of Friends where Rachel keeps losing the ability to see her baby in the ultrasound just won't get out of my head right now.)

Oh, good grief. I have the answer for that, and I didn't even need to read the article!

"Wait until they grow up; they'll show you."

Pfeh.

Yay for on-time appointments, and congrats. Of course, I would've said congrats if it was a girl, too, but still. I figure ten fingers, ten toes. ;)

My mom wanted a puppy.

Yay for blue! Never been a big fan of pink. :)

It's funny because when we were up a the Canyon last week I saw something cute and thought of you but it was only available in pink or blue... no unisex color. Ah, well, there's still October... unless work figures out some way to screw me out of that.

Yeah, it's difficult at best to ensure that people assign the right gender to an infant. When Leo was really little, I'd dress him in clearly boy clothes; as a result, anyone who saw him from the front first believes him to be a boy. However, both of my kids got my curls; anyone who saw him from the back first thought he was a girl because of the curl.

Leo's tendency to introduce "my brother Tim" to everyone he saw eliminated gender confusion for Tim, though.

Ten fingers. Ten toes. A couple of eyes. Sounds like all's well. Congrats!

Now that I've replied to so many other comments, I suppose I should actuall say:

CONGRATS! Boyhood is a wonderful state of being, and I'll give you only one piece of advice on surviving it: "If it doesn't involve blood, broken bones, or loss of consciousness, I don't want to know about it."

I so remember hearing that from my mom... must remember it for later. :P

Congratulations!

Wohoo!!!

Congrats! :) *laughs* I guess I'll see if my other friend who just recently found out she was pregnant, will need the clothes now. She only just got to hear the heartbeat for the first time last week. :)

Many many congrats!
