Okay, this is Oregon. Saying it's raining during fall, winter, and spring is fairly normal. Normally by that I mean that drops of water are tumbling lazily out of the sky.

Right now it is POUNDING down, so loud that I heard it despite being inside, with the window in this room closed, and my music playing at a decent volume. Did I mention I'm on the second story, and I'm hearing it when it hits things down on the ground?

Punishing rain. It was supposed to start raining last night or this morning and continue throughout the weekend. I really hope it lets up this evening or there will be a lot of disappointed kids. (I'm sure many would be happy to trick or treat in the rain, but their parents wouldn't probably be quite as happy.)

Hopefully there are alternatives like parties for them if their plans get spoiled, but - although there's always something to go to, that doesn't mean their parents know where it is or were planning on it.

Could you please send me an email (rjh at sixdemonbag.org) with your mailing address and phone # on it, please? For some paperwork at work they want to get some references from people whom I've known for more than seven years, and I'm listing you down as one. :)

It's kind of strange, really: friendships nowadays very often do not depend on knowing each other's phone numbers or addresses. It's a strange, networked world we live in...

Goodness. When I was a little kid, we lived in small town Wisconsin and it usually snowed on Halloween.
Rain isn't a good thing.
Snow is better.
