solcita posted a link to a post by degeneratelyre about why First Aid and First Response is important, and why you should know first aid/CPR. It was delivered to a high school class, and I think it may be the best presentation I have ever seen of it for that level OR any other level. I bet it got through to a lot of them, as it seems to be getting through to a lot of other people. Makes me feel proud for having taken the full CPR/first aid class last month (including infant/child CPR) and guilty for not having kept current since high school until then. Either way, it's also just darned good writing/presentation, and worth a read.

Isn't that incredible? Just blew me away. And quite a few other people, judging from the response. I hope she does follow through on the comment suggestions (it sounds like she is looking into it, at least) to make a video form of it also.
