Yep, ow. Though he was basically not paying it any mind by the time I saw it when I picked him up at 5 pm! Kids are resilient - maybe more so than their parents.
It's also possible he started the fight. Mind you, he wasn't the one who left a visible injury - I didn't get any report of his CAUSING one - but that doesn't mean the fighting wasn't mutual. He's usually pretty socially adept (maybe a bit yielding), but he can be a real pill if he's tired, feeling crappy, etc., and gets his stubborn on. Yesterday afternoon he would have been tired, out of sorts, AND feeling crappy, so it's entirely believable that he did something to greatly upset J.
Not that biting is an answer, but I'm not crazy enough to think that being bitten makes him a little angel either.
