Okay, I haven't read Perchance to Dream yet - but Creature Fantastic is excellent. Alien Pets is good, with a couple really good stories, a selection of okay ones (ranging from 'er, okay?' to 'mm, not bad') and two Stories That Should Not Be. Actually, I judge the second one based on only two pages. I kept hoping the first would prove me wrong. After that experience, I didn't give the second a chance.

Net conclusion: Denise Little is a decent anthologist; a lot of what was blah for me in Alien Pets had to do with taste (as in personal taste, not 'this is in awfully bad taste' taste). How, exactly, she made ACoC fall down that bad, I have no clue.

On the other hand, she didn't put in any stinkers as bad as the two in AP, so...it evens out.

But net, I think I like her - which makes ACoC look a bit sadder. (Though it already did, since I know the authors, and they can do better!)

Now I'm off to bed. Wow, getting my sleep schedule straightened out come Monday is gonna be awful.
