When did I become the young executive? At any rate, we're working on an offer to the candidate I chose now. I looked back at my ex-supervisor and said I wouldn't do things his way (bucking the corporate rules). And I didn't bother saying why; he didn't ask. (Because I can see the reasons for them - consistency, legality, etc. - and because in fact, besides being ill-suited to dealing with calling the candidate about salary - I just plain don't want to either.)

It's pretty out. Little patches of blue ranging from pale to deep, set between clouds which are sun-brushed white on top, with darker underbellies, dark enough to suggest scattered rain is a possibility in their path.

My radio's on. I'm working on code.

I might be on tonight, but probably not: Scott got back this weekend, had games all week, has tonight free, and then goes camping with his friends, so tonight is for us. (And yes, I knew about that schedule - and I'm actually glad; it gave him a chance to get "caught up" on all the stuff he'd been missing, I know - but I'm also glad there's nothing else tonight, too!)

Who knows, maybe we'll see a movie. *laughs* If so, I hope it works better than our last movie date. (I walked out halfway through, did the grocery shopping, and saw him again after the movie. Which he enjoyed, fortunately. And hey, we both liked the one before that!)

And then...then I'll be online most of the weekend, though idle at times. This is good. I'll get things done, I hope. I want to finish the +hangouts code and the newsfile I owe for Ashes to Ashes...and this newsfile's a doozy, so. Hee. I also want to rp, work on getting a character onto paper (which is going to mean a trip to the library, since she involves, oh, forty-gazillion elements I don't know nearly enough about).

But I'll also clean the house a little (it needs it!), do the laundry, do some of my beadwork.... It's going to be a good weekend, I think. Time chatting with friends (hey, online is good!), time to get my space organized. Things to do and make and be.

And right, now I'm already in my weekend when I've barely started my work to-do list. I think not! Back to work now....

Enjoy your weekend.

My parents will be here.

I /think/ it will be fun?

But I'll miss being on-line.
