This is mostly for myself, but I do find the list (and, more to the point, people's reactions to the list) amusing. Ian is 7 months (and a bit), and is eating or has eaten:

  1. Baby Mum Mum rice crackers (original and banana)
  2. Garlic hummus on said rice crackers (not the banana ones, ew) - and yes, he only gets small amounts, as this does have more salt than I want him to have much of. It's 104 mg of salt a serving, and I'd guess he's getting about 1/10-1/5 of a serving per day when he has it, so. Spread thinly, it still is a very intense taste.
  3. Banana - divide in thirds along the length so it's spears, and of course not a whole banana at a time
  4. Applesauce (no sugar added; also not my first choice but it was the best of a baby-unfriendly list at the zoo today, along with shreds of my grilled chicken, which brings us to...)
  5. Grilled or rotisserie chicken, the interior portions, shredded
  6. cooked blueberries, minus skins
  7. raw grapes, slivered and minus skins, but he didn't care for them much
  8. shredded bits of white bread, bagel, homemade pancake interior, etc.
  9. homemade barbecue beef
  10. homemade baked beans
  11. avocado
  12. sweet corn
  13. peas
  14. baked sweet potato
  15. watermelon
  16. strawberries
  17. homemade spaghetti sauce
  18. swiss cheese (but didn't care for it much)
  19. egg

...I swear I'm forgetting one or two, but maybe not. That's all I can pull to mind at the moment. Maybe we should take him out for Moroccan and see what he thinks of the lentil curry. Of course, Drew is at the picky stage and might not do so well going out for Moroccan. Hm.

I'm planning to try Ian on zucchini and summer squash next, largely because I *have* some. Cooked with garlic, since we know from the hummus he can handle garlic and likes it. (Ian and hummus: om nom nom nom nom grin nom.)

Garlic... good for what ails'ya. He's getting a nice variety there!

Green veggies much? get'em used to peas and brocs now, and they hopefully won't turn their nose up at'em later...

Have you tried him with guacamole? Seeing that he had avocado. :)

Mikayla was iffy on it when we tried her on it at first as a means of extra calories while we had the dietician advising us on things to help her gain weight. :)
