I love Scott. *grins* Nice, low-key evening. We went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. No cooking, fresh salad buffet, lots of other treats...yummy. Though they had a pretty awful (to my eyes) selection of soups this time, I was stuffed without wanting any anyway, so that works.
Then we went to Ancient Wonders, our Friendly Local Gaming Store. They'd gotten in a copy of Vampire 3rd Edition (they sold out over the weekend, before I went in to get it, darn it). Scott got the Nosferatu novel (he already owned it but had lost it, and wanted to loan the set to someone). Are we a couple, or what?
We'd debated going to the movies, but my leg was achy and we couldn't think of anything we wanted to see, so we came home. And played Trivial pursuit.
Okay. This should not be done when the answer sets you own are all way, way out of date. *giggles* We started with the "base" set (our copy of the game was bought when it first came out). After a while with no questions answered correctly, we switched to 1980's (the only other set we own - hmm - maybe we should fix that).
Aie. It got...a little better? When we gave up on the game, Scott had 5 pies and I had 2. So we were each managing to answer some questions. Three times he rolled immediately after I did, without reading a question, and I had to make him read a question. Not that his simply rolling would, in all honesty, have had any affect whatsoever on my score....
Some of the answers got a bit weird, when we couldn't even remember anybody/anything appropriate to the question. By the end of it, I was tired that I even missed a couple of fairly "obvious" (in the sense one should be able to deduce them, even if the reference was missed) questions. Hee.

ah, memories
Well, my partner had no clue, but gosh darn it all, I knew. My parents are addicted to that stupid show, and will always watch it when it's on, no matter how many times they've seen the episode >.<
But I couldn't think of it. And couldn't think of it. All I could get was 'Alan.' So I turned to my partner, in full view of at least 15 people who were all paying attention, and demanded in a very angry tone of voice, "What the hell is Alan Alda's last name?"
*laughs*
