Whether we weather the weather....

Sorry, just had to. So the best-case forecast still involves snow and freezing rain, but we've nowhere to go right now, so that's fine. I just hope it's cleared off by late tomorrow afternoon when we DO have somewhere to go. We shall see.

Meanwhile, I have a few things to do outside on my chores list. I think I'll do them now, before some form of wintry precipitation might be landing on my head.

I'm really looking forward to the snow. I love snow days. I am not so much looking forward to freezing rain; I don't love ice days one bit. I don't know if conditions will be right for black ice, but I'm especially unfond of that. (Always have been, not just Dad.) Driving on a perfectly sane wet road and having it suddenly be icy and look the same *sucks*.

But I am looking forward to the snow. (Watch, we won't get it, just the freezing rain...sigh. Hope not!)

I don't mind snow so much unless it is a lot of the heavy, wet variety. I hate that other frozen and mixed precipitation as it makes the roads so dangerous. We lucked out with about a foot of powder this time around.

Heavy, wet snow is almost the only kind we get, alas. But I can live with it, sorta. The powder is nicer. Freezing rain? No please. :(

Yeah, most of yours probably comes right off of the ocean. At least we get a mix here.

For what we get, the main issue is temperatures - it's usually right near freezing when it comes down. The ocean is a two-hour drive away...and there's a range of mountains in between. :)
